Muslim terrorists blew up a gas pipeline between Egypt and Israel in northern Sinai.
Local terrorists in Sinai have targeted gas pipelines between Egypt and both Jordan and Israel since 2011.
Israel started exporting natural gas to Egypt in January following a $15 billion decade-long deal signed by Delek Drilling and US-based Noble Energy in February 2018 to supply natural gas to Egypt from the Leviathan and Tamar gas fields, located off Israel.
Hundreds of Muslim terrorists have been eliminated by the Egyptian army, backed by police and other security forces since it launched a wide-scale operation in February 2018 aimed at eradicating terrorists, mostly members of ISIS or ISIS-linked terror groups in the Sinai peninsula. The operation is still ongoing.
